Automation Product Specialist

Job Description

Our client has a vacancy for an Automation Product Specialist. As a key member of their talented and successful products team, this is an interesting, varied, and challenging customer-facing role that is designed to support and increase market share. Working closely with their field sales team you will provide application, product knowledge and sale support during customer visits.\n\nThe role is home based, with regional travel required.\n\nThe role covers a broad portfolio of pneumatic and electro-pneumatic control solutions, including cylinders, actuators, grippers, valves, air preparation and management systems, vacuum\n\ntechnology, flow control, and industrial filtration.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Maintain accurate records of activities using our CRM system\n\n * Grow sales of the product range through supporting the salesforce and their customers\n\n * Understand and have the ability to use the value proposition of the product range responsible for and business value to grow sales.\n\n * Identifying, researching, and gaining application knowledge for new opportunities for the\n\nproduct range.\n\n * Promote the product range responsible for by creating marketing material, training\n\nmaterial, and identifying trade shows where the range will achieve exposure.\n\n * Develop strong working relationships with internal and external customers consulting with them to solve problems from a technical perspective.\n\n * Meet and exceed targets.\n\nSkills and Experience:\n\n * Desirable: A degree within an Engineering or science discipline\n\n * Required: HND or equivalent or relevant experience\n\n * Proven track record of selling, specifying, or developing products within the machine and device manufacturing sector.\n\n * Experience, skills and knowledge of the types of applications found in the automotive, food, beverage & packaging, and the life science sectors.
