You will have significant relevant experience as a teacher who has achieved the highest level of professionalism in the classroom and who can demonstrate the impact they have played in securing improvement and raising attainment.   Evidence of managing staff and leading developments and/or initiatives at a whole school level is essential. 

\n

A sound knowledge of current national developments, together with a clear understanding of relevant approaches to learning and teaching will be required.  A commitment to and experience of inclusive practices with young people is important for this post.

\n

You must be able to demonstrate their ability to create, motivate and work effectively within a team and organise workload to meet tight time-scales. Good management, liaison, communication and presentation skills and a commitment to maximising pupil progress are essential to this post.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

    \n
  • A specialism in a Humanities subject (Geography, History, Modern Studies or RMPS) is essential.
  • \n
  • The ability to establish and maintain good working relationships and a commitment to team working.
  • \n
  • A commitment to comprehensive education and continuous improvement in the quality of the education provided for all young people in Larbert High School.
  • \n
  • Energy, enthusiasm, flexibility, optimism and a commitment to the highest standards.
  • \n

Successful applicants who progress to the next stage of the recruitment process will be invited to attend:

  • an Assessment Centre at Larbert High School, no later than 2 weeks following the closing date (full details will be provided to successful candidates in due course)
  • \n
  • a Short Leet interview, no later than 3 weeks following the closing date.

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership, the cost of which will be met by the preferred candidate.
